HSA Family Nature Club
This year at Holy Spirit Academy one of our Kindergarten programs is focusing on a Nature Inspired approach to learning. This program has all of the same academic rigors as the other kindergarten classrooms, but it also focuses on getting students outdoors and connected with nature. Each day that these students are at school, the teacher gets them outdoors to explore, play, and connect with nature. There are many benefits to getting children outdoors and this aligns with our goal of well-rounded students.
As an extension of this, our Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Hamilton, has started a Family Nature Club. This is a club that is open to all H.S.A families. The club will meet 3 or 4 times per school year, on the weekend, and will have different opportunities for families to gather and participate in outdoor adventures as a family, alongside other H.S.A. families. Children must be supervised by family members and parents are responsible for the safety of their children when they are involved in these activities. This club is a wonderful way to promote school spirit, meet other families, and it exposes students to the great outdoors.
